The Power of the Resurrection
Thank God that we believe in a living God whose words are true and promises are fulfilled. He rose from the dead, as He said to His disciples and in doing this, He proved that all He had said became true. “Now Christ is risen from the dead and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20). This means that He rose from the dead and there will be no more death.
Those whom Christ had previously raised from the dead like the son of the widow and Lazarus would then die again. But Christ rose with a glorified body that will never decay and will not die another time. By doing this, He gave us the promise of eternal life that we will follow Him. On the last day, in the general resurrection we, the faithful people, will take luminous bodies to live with Christ in His glory forever.
Christ is risen and left the tomb empty to be evidence for His resurrection. Every year at Easter a light comes out of this tomb as a glorious light. This is a joyful expression that He who was buried there for three days is living forever. His light shines all over the world as He said, ‘I am the light of the world’. He truly is the light that lightens our spiritual life so that we can shine with Him in our eternal life. The same way in which He blessed the manger and the manger became a blessing for the whole world, He also blessed the tomb for the world.
We ask Him to bless us our hearts by entering them to sanctify, clean and lighten them by His presence so that we may live a Holy life that is worthy of His kingdom.
Wishing you all a Happy Feast of the Lord’s Resurrection
