Genuine Love: Embracing the Essence of Romans 12:9

The Call to Abide in Christ: Commitment to Christ requires consistency, as shown in John 15:5-6. True sonship and freedom come from abiding in Him. The Nature of Commitment: Commitment mirrors the order of creation, requiring us to abide in Christ in a life-giving, consistent manner. Abhorring Evil and Clinging to Good: Romans 12:9-10 urges us to reject evil and hold fast to good, living in constant truth and love. The Example of Saint Mary: Saint Mary’s unwavering faith amid sacrifice (Luke 1:38, John 19:25-27) serves as a model of clinging to goodness. The Fullness of Time: Jesus' life, from His birth to resurrection, reflects God's perfect timing (Galatians 4:4). Gratitude and Transformation through Christ: The incarnation of Christ and Saint Mary’s example inspire us to reject evil and embrace God’s transformative love (Luke 1:46-55).

Thursday Eve Holy Pascha – The Crucifixion

Christ, Our Home: Christ is not just for the Easter season but for all time (John 12:47, John 10:10). He did not come to condemn but to save, offering hope through resurrection. Condemnation vs. Hope: Christ condemns sin, not humanity. Guilt should lead to repentance, not despair (Romans 5:18-19). Sin does not separate us from God’s love; His mercy and redemption lift us (Psalm 27, Psalm 130:7, Jeremiah 29:11). Mercy and Redemption: God’s mercy is not just withholding punishment but actively redeeming us, restoring us to our rightful place as His children (Hebrews 10:23). Hope in the Resurrection: We are encouraged to hold fast to our hope, for through repentance, the Eucharist, and God's promise, we are given a future and hope (Hebrews 10:23).
