SPEC
SPEC is an eye opener course aiming to improve our vision and deepen our understanding of the word of God. When Jesus said “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15″ it wasn’t an option to follow or not, it was a commandment! He also said “You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16”. We are meant to illuminate the world to see Christ in us!
SPEC (Saint Paul Evangelism Course) is our very own UK tailored Evangelism course aimed to equip those who attend with different set of skills to be able to spread the word of God eagerly and fearlessly to anyone they encounter from any background. The course helps building our confidence and deepening our knowledge of our own Christian faith allowing us to be prepared to give an answer for the hope we have! “Preach the word in season and out of season. 1 Timothy 4:2”
The course covers 5 main themes (Evangelism Knowledge, Core beliefs of Christianity, Apologetics, Overview of Church History & Tools for Evangelism) scattered over the length of 12 weeks in a more interactive style based on group activities and workshops.
Let’s take this chance now and do the work of an evangelist, fulfilling the ministry which we have received from the Lord! “Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.” 1 Peter 3:15

Wednesday Girl’s Bible Study
Do you sometimes struggle to read the bible? Do you have difficulty understanding exactly what is meant by the scripture? Do you find it hard to find time to read it?
The Bible is the roadmap of Christianity. It’s the main way to know God and His will in our lives. But we all struggle to read the bible and understand what’s God’s message for us.
Our Girl’s Bible Study is a safe space allowing us to fully indulge in the Word of God where we discuss many topics and read passages of the Bible dwelling on God’s word and understanding His message for us. It’s a safe space that offers both understanding and an opportunity to talk about how God’s word relates to our life or any struggles we face.
Where: St Mark’s Church
When: Every other Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Who: All girls (single or married)
Wednesday Men’s Bible Study
A gathering and get together that is open to all men in the Coptic church, as well as guests and any guy who is interested in sharing in with the men’s fellowship and unity.
A small group of the attendees discuss in advance relevant themes to cover in a series that usually spans several weeks until completion; themes and important topics such as how a Godly man approaches careers/ relationships etc. have been covered before, usually alternating with an in-depth study of a book in the Bible such as the Book of Daniel. Speakers or leaders are chosen each week to guide us in prayer, conversation and reading the Word.
The Bible study is an opportunity for us to connect to one another, as Godly men and read the Bible together, share and receive wisdom and grow together as Godly men.
Where: St Mark’s Church
When: Every Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

Wednesday’s Worship
Derived from the old English weorthscipe, meaning to venerate, or show worthiness or acknowledgement of worth.
Worship isn’t about us, but about God. But, God doesn’t need our worship; we do. God isn’t some being who waits for His worshippers to remind Him how great He is and how desperately we need Him.
God never changes. But when we worship, we change. Whilst the church practices various forms of worship, every Wednesday we provide an opportunity to express love and adoration to our God through contemporary praise and prayer. It is an opportunity to take our eyes off the busyness of life and turns us to the person of Jesus.
Do you find yourself confused and anxious? Worship the God of peace and you’ll find peace.
Do you find yourself in need of wisdom? Worship the God of wisdom and you’ll find wisdom.
Are you faced with the impossible task of unconditionally loving the unlovable? Then worship the God who IS LOVE and His love will become yours.
As the bible says in John 4:24: ‘God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth’.
When: Last Wednesday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Who: Everyone is welcomed
Feast – Friday Youth Meeting
The Feast meeting is a youth meeting which provides a welcoming, warm and spiritually engaging environment for youth at the level of high school, university and beyond.
The meeting is an incredible place to encounter God at whatever stage of our spiritual journey, as well as provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new people. This meeting has often been the gateway for youth to step into the St. Mark’s community where traditional meetings may have felt a bit too formal.
In the Friday meeting, we talk about various topics and it’s usually a place for everyone to feel totally free to share their thoughts and feelings! The youth are always quite engaged with the topics discussed where they feel spiritually challenged. After the talk, we have fellowship time that could span from some fun activities like game night, ping-pong night or some delicious dinner/pizza night or some worship/tasbeha time!
Ultimately, the aim of this meeting is to provide fellowship with God and with others. We really look forward to seeing you!

Sunday Unity Youth Meeting
The Unity Meeting brings together university students from across all disciplines to learn and grow in their Faith for Christ. Our goal is to build a strong Christian foundation and fellowship for our youth, and support them in their spiritual journey to understand and love Christ in His magnificence.
We cover a range of topics that aim to answer difficult questions, discuss people’s doubts and raise questions about the bible, our spirituality and Christ. We have a variety of well educated and informed speakers, but we also provide the youth with the opportunity to deliver some sessions that they are passionate about or share their experiences in Christ.
Every second Sunday of the month, we provide the option for the youth to go to an elderly care home or spend time with young kids from the church to teach them about the bible. This is to encourage and promote giving back in our community and to understand what it means to be one body in Christ.
When: Every Sunday, 12:30-3:00 p.m.
Who: University/College/Apprenticeship Students/Others (18-23 yr olds)
Sunday Youth Renewal Meeting
YRM stands for Youth Renewal Meeting. If you’re a graduate or in the working world already this meeting is for you. We discuss everything here, from theological and practical topics, to tough questions and apologetics. We even go back to basics sometimes. Everyone is welcome, it doesn’t matter what you look like, where you work or what your past and present look like, you’re all welcome.
One of the key aims of this meeting is to equip the next generation of leaders, parents and congregation of the church and to give them space to discuss what’s on their hearts, and remove any doubts they have about their faith. We also aim to create community, pray for one another earnestly and spark life-long friendships. It’s a place where we can grow together in faith.
We are all broken in one way or another and the main aim of all of this is to look to Jesus and He will make us whole. It’s not all talks or workshops, we also love food! It’s a place to chill and we usually go for a meal or two and hang out. Hanging out is sometimes just what you need.
Regular conferences throughout the year to keep the spiritual growth and the fellowship.
Hope we’ll see you soon!
