Valentine’s 2014 Outreach

This Friday is St. Valentine’s day – the feast of love.

valentines day 2014 card frontHaving been touched by the love of Christ – who is Himself the source of love – we are heading out to the streets, stations and university campuses to try and share some of His Spirit, His joy and His love with those we meet. We will be giving out small gifts, and most importantly will have the chance to listen to and talk to people. We hope these small encounters could be a chance to encourage, challenge and bring hope as the Spirit leads.

Thursday 13th 12-2pm: a group will be giving out brownies and discussing ‘grace’ with students at Guy’s campus; nearest tube London Bridge.

Friday 14th 6.30-8pm: one group will be giving out rocky road on High St Kensington, whilst a second group hands out hot chocolate outside St Mark Church. There will be leaflets about the church, and about knowing Jesus for those interested in knowing more; and visitors are welcome to attend the Friday meeting – topic this week is on God’s forgiveness.

Saturday 15th – to be confirmed (but hopefully visits to local nursing home/ hospitals)
