Church beliefs and rituals (Dogma)

One of the oldest meetings in the church has been the Monday Dogma meeting run by Fr. Antonious Thabet. The meeting is a place to discuss deep dogmatic issues, theology questions and much more where Fr. Antonious dig deep into the bible and the church fathers teachings to find answers to difficult questions and deep contemplations. Come and join this spiritual journey!

The Meeting runs every Monday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. at church.

Young Mums Meeting (St. Marina Family)

Many Christian mothers seek a place where they can come together for fellowship and support while seeking wisdom from God and the Bible. Our young mother’s support group is a very rewarding experience where you can help other mothers while making friends.

Our weekly meeting consists of a meal, input on the faith/ bible study, a time of prayer and social time.

Some of St. Marina’s meeting activities consist of:

– Every other month we do a shared meeting with the senior ladies where everyone shares about favorite songs of the faith and then prays and worships together.

– We do day trips and conferences within the year for ladies.

We’re always looking for new members and will offer you a warm and friendly welcome. Come to one of our meetings to find out more

Thursday Meeting

The family of Archangel Michael Thursday evening youth meeting would like to invite you to come and bring your friends.

Our programme is spiritual as well as social with a good networking for Arabic speaking youth.

Our meeting is every Thursday from 7:30pm till 9:00pm followed by aghapy with delicious food and plenty of fun activities like table tennis and chess. It’s a place for everyone to feel welcomed and part of a fun spiritual family.

Friday Adults Meetings

2 adults meetings running at the same time at St. Mark’s church every Friday straight after liturgy (which ends at 11 a.m. on Fridays).

The ladies’ meeting Om El Nour and the men’s meeting Shabab Ala Toul both start straight after liturgy every Friday by having a delicious breakfast together then each group head to their own meeting to start dwelling on the word of God and share their own experience with God! Both meetings have their own activities which consist of day trips/day retreats as well as hospital visitations and lifting up the church by their continuous prayers.

Family Meeting

St. Mark’s Family Meeting has been established by the late beloved Father Bishoy Bushra in 2004. Currently, Father Thomas Gobrial has followed his footsteps and he is the lead in providing guidance and support to the meeting.

The aim of the family meeting is to gather all families of St. Mark community in a spiritual and social style meetings. The meeting serves families at different stages of life. Whether you are newly married or been married for many years, you will always enjoy your time in the family meeting.

Various topics are discussed which includes history of our Coptic church, Apologetics, Dogma, bible study and christian parenting. Parental talks runs first Sunday of every month with bible guidance in the upbringing of children in a new environment which is different from our home country. Babysitting is usually provided during the talk.

The meeting runs every Sunday at St Philip’s church W8 6QH from 12:45 – 2:15 p.m.

Married And Children (English Speaking)

MAC meeting is the English family meeting focusing on married life, families and children. The meeting touches on home and family life exploring a variety of topics both from a spiritual and practical perspectives with the aim to make our Lord Jesus the centre and foundation of all our homes. Couples are usually quite engaged with their questions about the challenges they face whether in their relationships or with their children!

During the meeting, there’s a supervised childcare provided which offers a structured theme with activities for the children for the parents to enjoy the meeting quietly being ensured that their youngsters are taken care of in a Sunday School environment.

The meeting takes place every 2nd Sunday of the month. We start with food and refreshments from 12.30pm followed by the talk.
