Psalm

From the Psalms of our teacher David the prophet. May his blessings be with us all. Amen.

Psalms 4:3,6,7

4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

4:6 There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.

4:7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Our Lord God, Savior, and King of us all, Jesus Christ, the Living Son of God to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Gospel

Stand in the fear of God and listen to the Holy Gospel. A reading from the Gospel according to our teacher Saint Matthew, the Evangelist. May His Blessings be with us all. Amen.

Matthew 11:25-30

11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

And Glory be to God forever.
